Dear friends - it's been an exciting week!

Coinbase CEO Bryan Armstrong's longevity startup NewLimit just tripled its value to $3.1b (more below). Is a biotech summer around the corner?

Meanwhile, Q1 was the most intentional quarter for me and SuperHuman Fund yet. Four bets on a single idea: that the biological constraints humans have accepted as fate are becoming engineering problems. And that the window to invest before the rest of the world agrees may be closing fast.*

Q1 Portfolio Highlights

Origin Genomics

Germline correction Seed

Led by Cathy Tie, Origin is building the foundational layer for germline editing - regulatory clarity, scientific credibility, and market positioning. The science has arrived. The market leader has not. Origin is set up to be that company.

Dognosis

Cancer-screening BCI Seed

Combining trained dogs' olfactory abilities with brain-computer interfaces and AI to detect cancer - with 91% accuracy across 7 cancer groups, outperforming liquid biopsies, and setting a new paradigm in human-animal intelligence.

Stealth Bio

Artificial womb Pre-seed

Ex-utero gestation sounds like sci-fi today, but it's already hitting unprecedented milestones with their engineered endomitrium. YC + Stanford founders, some of the top investors in the valley.

Electrokare

Non-invasive biomarkers Pre-seed

Your ECG already contains your blood chemistry - if you know how to read it. No needle, no lab. Beta launched with 32,000 athletes, now going clinical with a top-5 U.S. hospital system.

WORTH WATCHING

I interviewed billionaire investor Christian Angermeyer - who explains why peptides, GLP-1s, psychedelics, longevity and performance enhancement are exploding.

And why optimizing the human body and mind will become the next trillion-dollar industry.

MARKET THESIS

We are at a rare inflection point where three forces are colliding: AI is bending the cost curve of precision biology to near-zero, human enhancement has entered mainstream culture thanks to GLP-1s and Bryan Johnson, and a new class of LPs - wealthy individuals who personally use longevity and enhancement protocols - is now deploying billions into the companies building them.

This is the moment human enhancement stops being fringe, and becomes a major asset class.

What's Coming in Human Enhancement

BCI

Neuralink: high-volume production

Scaling to mass-manufactured BCI devices with near-fully automated surgery in 2026. 20+ patients implanted globally as of early 2026, with a goal of several hundred by year end. From "can this work?" to "can we build enough?" - the fastest any neurotechnology has scaled.

Epigenetics

NewLimit: $435M to reverse cellular aging

Brian Armstrong's longevity bet just tripled in value to $3.1B. Founders Fund led a $435M Series C - the third raise in twelve months - as NewLimit's first drug candidate, a liver cell-reprogramming therapy, heads to human trials ahead of schedule. Epigenetic reprogramming is no longer a theory. It's a pipeline.

Peptides

GLP-1s become longevity infrastructure

Beyond weight loss: cardiac, neurological, and anti-inflammatory effects position GLP-1s as the first mass-market longevity drug. Mitochondrial peptides entering Phase 2 aging trials. The FDA is being pushed toward an "aging indication."

AI Drug Design

Isomorphic Labs: $2.1B to solve all disease

Nobel Prize winner Demis Hassabis just raised $2.1B - the largest AI biotech round of 2026 - without disclosing a single drug candidate. Thrive, Alphabet, Temasek, UK Sovereign AI Fund all in. First AI-designed drug entering human trials by end of 2026. The market isn't waiting for proof. It's pricing in inevitability.

mRNA

Personalized cancer vaccines: first hard data

Moderna's personalized melanoma vaccine showed 68.8% of patients cancer-free at five years vs 49.1% on standard treatment - a 49% reduction in recurrence risk. Presented at ASCO, May 2026. Phase 3 interim data expected 2027. A positive readout doesn't just change oncology - it validates the entire mRNA platform for disease.

Longevity

Retro Biosciences: Alzheimer's trial running

Sam Altman's $1.8B longevity bet is now in human trials. Retro's Alzheimer's pill - designed to clear protein aggregates from aging tissue - is showing no dose-limiting toxicities. First data drops August 2026. The "add 10 healthy years to human life" thesis is about to have a number attached to it.
